Former Roma forward Julio Baptista said “De Rossi” must remain composed when playing Lazio in the derby.
Before Daniele De Rossi took the pitch in his first Derby della Capitale as head coach of the Giallorossi, former Roma forward Julio Baptista gave him some advise.
Baptista spoke with Teleradio Stereo 92.7 on the much awaited matchup with Lazio.
The Brazilian football player added, “De Rossi is doing a great job; I hope he continues like this.”
Rome has always been a fantastic club and team, but in order to be regarded as a great team, they need to win the Champions League. Roma will get more notoriety if they begin to qualify for the Champions League more often, for two or three years running. But even though I think Roma is a fantastic team, I have always wanted to visit them.”
Every derby involves meticulous decision-making. We all know how much the crowd will be cheering for this match, so you have to be prepared.
“De Rossi needs to maintain his composure and not allow his emotions get the better of him. To be as prepared as possible, De Rossi will have seen a lot of Lazio games, and I have no doubt that he will have discovered the finest counterstrategies”.
