Very Bad News: “Special” Rangers star to miss nine crucial games including both Benfica legs after…
It is a serious blow that Rangers star Todd Cantwell will miss up to five more games due to injury, including both legs of their Europa League matchup with Benfica.
Rangers injury updates.
The Gers are playing well right now, but even though Philippe Clement and his team are having a great season overall, injuries are still a problem.

One player who is not playing right now is Danilo, who is still out due to a knee injury he sustained against Hearts in December. Rabbi Matondo is also not playing because of a muscular issue.
Another key Rangers player who has battled at times this season is Kemar Roofe, whose season has been marred by fitness problems, limiting him to just five starts in the Scottish Premiership.
Cantwell’s most recent ailment has now given rise to yet another worrying update, with Clement sharing some unfavorable information about him.
The Rangers struck Todd Cantwell.
Speaking to the media on Friday [via Football Scotland], the Rangers boss said that Todd Cantwell will be sidelined for approximately three weeks due to injury. That puts us around March 15th.
Todd was in really excellent form, so the team will be disappointed that he will be out for a few weeks. However, that is part of football, and we’ve dealt with these situations over the past few months, so it’s up to the other players to step up and perform well for the team.
Given how important a player Cantwell has been for Rangers this season, there is little doubt that this is a major setback for the team. Although the Englishman has contributed three assists and five goals to the Scottish Premiership so far in 2023–24, his work ethic off the field has been just as impressive as his on-field abilities.
