Sign Those Papers!: Everton in motion to sue “Trebble Winners” in new FFP twist – Wyness…
In a “ridiculous” new twist, former Everton manager Keith Wyness has suggested Everton may now sue Man City for Premier League points.
The 66-year-old, who ran a football consultancy advising elite clubs after serving as CEO at Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009, blasted top-flight executives for taking too long to resolve Man City’s 115 outstanding FFP charges in an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.

Nine seasons’ worth of 115 financial violations were brought against City by the Premier League last year; however, an independent panel has not yet had a chance to consider their case.
With a court scheduled for later this year, it is anticipated that the treble winners won’t receive a verdict on their accusations for at least another 12 months.
Everton might lose more points for a different violation in a matter of weeks. Since then, the team has already been charged with and punished for one violation of the league’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
Wyness finds the “ridiculous” Man City delay unbelievable; Everton may now file a lawsuit
In the event that Everton is exonerated after their appeals and City is ultimately found guilty, Wyness recommended the Toffees sue them for league table points.
He stated on the Insider Track podcast of Football Insider, “It’s complicated with the 115 charges.” You’ve heard me say it a lot.
They seemed to divide into three or four groups.
Simply put, I have no idea why it’s taking so long. Everton recently lost to Man City; if City is found guilty and we are exonerated of all charges, do we have a basis to sue and regain those points?
That’s where the Premier League‘s foolish roller coaster might come to a stop.
That could turn out to be a crazy circumstance.
“I firmly oppose the postponement of Man City’s case hearing, and the Premier League could have handled it far more skillfully.”
In other news, Guardiola identifies in private the sole Man United player who is qualified.
