Extremely inappropriate and ought to be punished!: A key member of the Steelers makes an unexpected and shocking shot at the fan base.
After the NFL team selected the former Ohio State standout in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, defensive tackle Cam Heyward and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been closely associated for over ten years.
More than ten years in the NFL is a remarkable accomplishment for any player, yet spending thirteen of those seasons with the same team is much more uncommon. Despite recent injury concerns, Heyward, a big guy for the Steelers, just finished his 13th season and shows no signs of quitting the team anytime soon. Heyward can play at a high level when healthy.

Heyward made the most of his first opportunity to earn a start in 2013, the year it finally came around. In 16 games and 13 starts, he finished the season with 59 total tackles (35 solo), seven pass deflections, five sacks, two tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery. He led the team with 31 quarterback pressures and ended second on the team (first among defensive lineman) with five sacks. In 2013, Pro Football Focus ranked him 19th out of all the eligible defensive ends.
In 2014, the Pittsburgh Steelers chose to exercise Cam Heyward’s fifth-year option, and they will pay him $6.96 million in 2015.
Heyward excelled, but for many players, this is their last season with a team since they don’t live up to expectations for a new deal.
