Che Adams

Welbeck may not be the prolific player Foxes supporters hope to recruit, but if they advance, he has a wealth of Premier League experience and, from his time at Brighton and Hove Albion, is accustomed to winning as a member of an underdog team.

Welbeck, 33, may be looking for a fresh challenge as rookie striker Evan Ferguson is making an impression on the Premier League team, which has reduced his playing time this season. The 33-year-old is out of contract this summer after signing a two-year agreement in 2022. The former Manchester United player’s playing time at the Amex Stadium is probably only going to go in one way in light of this.

After a difficult few years for the team, he would be a leader in the locker room and have the same natural position as Vardy. He is also a cheap choice. Finally, he has years of experience in the league that Leicester will probably be in next season. This deal has a lot of potential benefits for both sides.

Thijs Dallinga

In need of a substitute goal threat, Enzo Maresca and his squad could be more likely to seek across the continent, where Toulouse’s Thijs Dallinga might perform worse.

The 23-year-old, who plays for a team in Ligue 1 that is barely above the relegation zone, has scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season, including four in seven Europa League games.

It proves that Dallinga is capable of scoring important goals while contributing to a club going through a difficult season—a scenario in which the Foxes might find themselves next season, should they be promoted to the Premier League.

As seen by his shot map this season, the young striker, like Vardy, is a threat in the box. All of his goals and most of his attempts originate from the six-yard box and penalty spot, a description that also holds true for the Leicester player he would replace.

Leicester may not consider the transaction to be a good value given that his current contract keeps him at Stadium de Toulouse until 2026. With plenty of years ahead of him to truly own the job like Vardy did, the previous Premier League and FA Cup winners Foxes may be able to offer the young star a project he can get behind. However, they may also be up against Brentford, Bournemouth, and Crystal Palace for his signature.
